    Position Scope

    NACG will be at Highland Valley Copper mine doing the following work:

    • Earth Dam Raise
    • Slop cell removal

     

    Shift: 7 days on 7 days off - 11.5 hour days

     

    Overtime will only be paid if you work over your regularly scheduled shift of 12 hours, all employees are required to sign an averaging agreement to state that they agree to the overtime rules.

     

    NO CAMP IS PROVIDED. Employees are required to find their own accommodations.

    Qualifications

    • 2 years construction survey experience in party chief role
    • Ability to use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create layout files based on engineered plans and calculate quantities will be considered an asset
    • Extensive Experience using Trimble RTK GPS and Total Stations for construction stakeout and topographic surveys
    • Experience in following engineered designs of road and pipeline construction
    • Ability to record field survey data to allow for accurate quantity tracking for unit rate construction
    • Must be organized, able to multi-task and take requests from field supervision
    • Experience with calculating alignments in Trimble Access will be considered an asset

    Summary

    All successful candidates must:

    1. Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
    2. Have a valid Class 3 Driver’s License with air brakes
    3. Have experience as requested in the job description above
    4. Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:
      • Breath Alcohol Test
      • Urine Drug Test
      • Fitness-to-Work Assessment
      • Audiometric Testing
      • Vision Screening
      • Criminal Record Check

    All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

    1. Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
    2. Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
    3. VOID cheque/direct deposit form
