    Position Scope

    Our new maintenance facility is ready and we are looking for Bench Hands to assist the mechanics in our state of the art facility!

     

    The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955. 

     

    Location - Brand New Maintenance Facility in Acheson  (east of Spruce Grove off Hwy 16A)

     

    Current Shift - Day and Night Shift

    8days on, 4 days off, 4 night shifts, 5 days off

    10 hour days

     

    Starting Rate: $26.79/hr (tiered rate system)

    Responsibilities

    • Move tools, materials, parts, components and materials to and from work areas
    • Fuels, greases/lubing and services heavy equipment
    • Performs preventative maintenance including but not limited to tire changes and oil filter changes
    • Assist journeyman with minor repairs and maintenance of equipment
    • Washing/cleaning and preparing heavy equipment
    • Acts as a spotter for heavy equipment
    • Provides general clean up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of work area
    • Teardown of equipment and components.
    • Undercarriage rebuilds

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Knowledge about maintenance, and a general knowledge of mechanical aspects
