    Successful candidates will be required to join the OE955 union.

     

    Initiation Fees for union = $533.95

    Union Dues = $136.64/month

     

    Position Scope

    This is a site based position in Fort McMurray. No camp, $50/day worked Living Out Allowance, transportation from town to site provided, boot and tool allowances for techs. Schedule is 14x14 - 11.5 per day, day shift.

     

    May consider a 5x2 for a local applicants.

     

    Rates are based on the OE955 Collective Agreement.

     

    Base Rate:$42.48
    Pension :$4.46
    Health & Wellness:$1.55
    Training:$0.07
    Vacation Pay (6%):$2.55
    Holiday Pay (4%):$1.70
    Gross Rate:$52.81

    Responsibilities

    • Must have minimum 3 year's experience. Successful candidates must have experience with service/fuel combo units and must be a certified Journeyman Mechanic or Red Seal Journeyman Mechanic. Successful candidates must have CVIP inspection experience and able to get inspection certification.  Must be familiar with hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting/repair/adjustment experience or training would be an asset as well. Any picker, auto-crane or Hiab experience would be an asset.

    Summary

    All successful candidates must:

    1. Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
    2. Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
    3. Have experience as requested as mentioned above
    4. Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
    5. Breath Alcohol Test
    6. Urine Drug Test
    7. Fitness-to-Work Assessment
    8. Audiometric Testing
    9. Vision Screening
    10. Criminal Record Check

    Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.

     

    All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

    1. OSSA or OSSA (BSO) Certification
    2. CSTS Certification
    3. Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
    4. Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
    5. VOID cheque/direct deposit form

    Once dispatched the following processes will occur:

    1. Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing
    2. An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
    3. After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.

    Please note the entire On-boarding process can take anywhere from 3-8 business days.
