Position Scope

NACG will be at Highland Valley Copper mine doing the following work:

  • Earth Dam Raise
  • Stop cell removal
  • Hydraulic sand placement

 

Shift: 5 days on 2 days off - 10 hrs a day

 

Rate: $26.00/hr

 

No CAMP IS PROVIDED. Employees are required to find their own accommodations.

 

THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION (until October 31, 2017).

Responsibilities

  • Accurate receiving and placing of all inventoried stock on warehouse shelves. Selecting parts and materials for jobs and assemble in kits. Ensuring accurate quantity and type of part and materials are received and issued
  • Ensure adherence to safety rules, government regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Ensure the warehouse is a safe work environment and all shipping and receiving processes and procedures are adhered to
  • Operate warehouse equipment in a safe manner
  • Ensure high standard of customer services in the areas of order taking and customer problem solving
  • Receive all parts and materials according to standard written procedures
  • Record all incoming shipments, checking shipments against purchase orders and verifying contents of shipment against packing slip
  • Enter all receiving (Packing Slips), issue and transfers into JDE inventory management system
  • Identify damaged goods and initiate damage claims as per our policies and procedures
  • Sort parts and materials and places in designated stock locations in warehouse
  • Maintain good housekeeping and orderliness in the warehouse and in the receiving area
  • Prepare shipping and TDG documents when required
  • Identify and prepare parts and core returns to suppliers as per our return procedures
  • Operate warehouse equipment and power tools, including fork-lifts

Qualifications

  • Parts Technician Ticket or Parts Technician Apprentice
  • 2 years warehouse materials handling experience
  • Prior experience using an inventory management system
  • Industrial construction and/or mining experience preferred
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment parts a definite asset
  • Strong computer skills and strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), specifically JDE experience is an asset
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, mathematical and sound decision making skills

Summary

All successful candidates should:

  1. Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
  2. Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  3. Have experience as requested as mentioned above
  4. Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
    1. Breath Alcohol Test
    2. Urine Drug Test
    3. Fitness-to-Work Assessment
    4. Audiometric Testing
    5. Vision Screening
    6. Criminal Record Check

Shift and start times are subject to change.

 

All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:
